A 38-year-old Craig man suffered head and neck injuries Thursday after he fell 20 feet head first off of his roof.
According to Sgt. Bill Leonard with the Craig Police
Department, the man was spraying insects in a tree from his roof before he fell.
"One of our officers was the first to the scene and it appeared he had pretty serious neck injuries," Leonard said.
Craig Fire and Rescue and the ambulance then arrived at the scene.
The man was airlifted at about 11:15 a.m. to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, according to The Memorial Hospital Public Relations Director Pam Thompson.
His condition was not available by press time Friday morning.
