Vehicle licensing law not limited to Craig

To the Editor:

I'm writing in response to Doris Allen's letter to the editor on May 20, 2003.

First of all, it is not the people who are forcing you to register your vehicles, it's state law that anybody gainfully employed and living here must register their vehicles. Most states have the same law.

Second, the local people did not ask you to come here, you were brought here by the out-of-state contractors.

Craig and surrounding counties have plenty of skilled workers for the job, many of whom K.C. or Hamon do not hire.

These contractors bring you people in because you will work less than prevailing wage, and that does not help our econmy.

If you feel unwelcome, then you are welcome to leave.

Resident says 'thanks' for assistance following accident

To the Editor:

I would like to thank all of the people who helped me when I broke my leg in a soccer wreck starting with the people who helped me on the field, also the EMT staff, ER staff (especially Dr. Told), X-ray technician, operating room staff, Dr. Sauerbrey, nursing staff and all of the people who called, came to see me or sent cards.

Sincerely,

Mike Lefler,

Craig
