Craig resident Jeri Lynn Coyner died Feb. 1, 2003, at The Memorial Hospital. She was 38.
Coyner was born Oct. 10, 1964, in Grand Junction, Colo., to Delmar and Patricia (Coon) Coyner. She was raised in Steamboat Springs and attended school there and high school at the Hayden Christian School graduating in 1983. She then attended Mesa College in Grand Junction and nurses training in Colorado Springs.
Coyner worked at various nursing homes in Colorado Springs and Palisade and for the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association in Steamboat Springs.
Coyner moved to Craig with her parents four-and-a-half years ago, and on Oct. 11, 2000, she married Wayne Morris in Craig.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Steamboat and the Yampa Valley Baptist Church in Craig.
She enjoyed high school sports, gardening, knitting and had knitted more than 30 afghans in the last year for special friends.
Coyner is survived by her husband, Wayne Morris, of Craig; daughters, Sarah D. Coyner and Hannah E. Morris, both of Craig; parents, Delmar and Patricia Coyner, of Craig; brother, Dale (Jodie) Coyner, of Steamboat Springs; sister, Connie (David) McLure, of Wylie, Texas; grandmother, Dorothy Coon, of Grand Junction; and father and mother-in-law, Brian and Judy Morris, of Hamilton, Colo., and Ontario, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leo and Sadie Coyner and Orba Coon.
Services were Feb. 6, 2003, at Yampa Valley Baptist Church.
