Mike Love and Razin Kane top evening’s fair entertainment

The Moffat County Fair is getting ready to kick it into high gear with the country sounds of Mike Love and Razin Kane.
The group will make an appearance tonight as a part of the fair entertainment bill. The free concert will start at 8 p.m. and is scheduled to run for four hours.
Lead singer and guitarist Mike Love has been performing since 1989 and has performed with the likes of Toby Keith, Shania Twain and Kenney Chesney.
According to the band's Web site, Love also has performed in The Rockin Rowdy Country Band.
The band was formed four years ago and contains Love's brother, Matthew, who is the drummer and percussionist, Fred Austin, who plays lead guitar and provides harmony vocals and a newcomer on keyboards.
"They just got done playing the Cheyenne Frontier Days and after they come to Craig, they are going to Pueblo to the state fair," said the band's agent, John Tabor of
Tabor Entertainment.
The band plays mostly country but also mixes in some southern rock and classics.
"They do a lot of covers," Tabor said.
Tabor has been working with the group for a couple of years and said that the band's traveling schedule, which is also year-round.
The group also be will playing at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the OP Bar and Grill.
Mike Love and Razin Kane has released a C.D on their own label.
"They are really good," Tabor said of why people should come out to the fair and enjoy the show.
Fair entertainment also include the Yampa Valley Boys who will perform starting at 5 p.m. and bingo. Free root beer floats will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
