Craig resident Albert L. Letsinger died Sept. 18, 2002, at The Memorial Hospital. He was 62.
Letsinger was born Aug. 16, 1940, in Springfield, Mo., to Emory and Goldie Jane (Hensley) Letsinger. He was raised in Springfield until moving to Craig when he was 12 years old. He finished school in Craig, graduating from Craig High School.
He was a dishwasher at the Cosgriff Hotel and later became a cook and worked at various restaurants in the area, including the Cosgriff Hotel, Village Inn, Holiday Inn and Golden Cavvy.
He married Janice E. Lawrence on April 14, 1982, in Craig. He loved to fish and work in his yard.
Letsinger is survived by his wife, Janice, of Craig; son, William Letsinger, of Craig; daughter, Kindy (Jason) Baker, of Tennessee; three grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Fran) Letsinger, of Texas, J.C. (Dot) Grain, of Mansfield, Mo., Joe Letsinger, of Aurora, Colo., Leon (Ann) Letsinger, of Boulder, Wyo., and Elmer (Debbie) Letsinger, of Mansfield, Mo.; mother-in-law, Alice Lawrence, of Craig; brother-in-law, Spencer Lawrence, of Craig; sister-in-law, Sarah Draper, of Sheridan, Wyo.; niece, Kala Draper; nephew, Paul Gunnett; sister-in-law, Juanita Williams, of Craig and her daughter, Melanie Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were Sept. 25, 2002, at Grant Mortuary with Rod Compton officiating. Selections were "Amazing Grace," "The Impossible" and "Drive (For Daddy Gene)."
Honorary pallbearers were all his many friends.
Services concluded at the mortuary.
