Another Chinese restaurant gets ready to open in Craig

Craig should soon be able to boast one other Chinese restaurant.

Paul Cheung, owner of Ocean Pearl Chinese restaurant in Delta, and a Chinese restaurant in Glenwood Springs, plans to open another branch of his business in Craig at 441 W. Victory

Way.

His application for a hotel and restaurant liquor license will go before the Craig City Council Tuesday night.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers of Craig City Hall.

The hearing for the liquor license is a public hearing.

In other business, the council will:

Consider a request for a variance of the side yard setback for a storage building in the Davis Gardens Subdivision. Ted Wheeler has made the request.

Consider approving the final plat of the Willow Creek Cove Subdivision from Don Christensen.

Make an appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Thomas Mileski will address the council concerning a sewer connection at Country Club Drive.

Award a bid for painting the interior of the Sandrock water storage tank.

Consider a request to purchase a pressure washer for the solid waste department.

Hear the introduction of an ordinance amending the off-street parking requirements of the Craig Municipal Code.

Review and discuss a draft of the city's water conservation plan.
