Community should take lead in solving problems


To the Editor:

I read the editorial in the Jan. 16 Craig Daily Press. It's right on the money! The primary mission of our schools is to develop the intellect of each student to the greatest extent possible.

In the other areas, the schools should only play a supporting role supporting what parents are already doing at home. Parents must not delegate their responsibilities to the schools. We don't have a school problem; we have a community problem. Let the schools keep the main thing the main thing.
