Bulldogs win Battle Mountain dual

The Bulldogs wrestlers won the Battle Mountain dual Friday by the score of 75-3.

Every Bulldog with the exception of one, won their match and the team wracked up a total of five pins throughout the evening. The rest of the matches were decided by forfeit, except senior Cory Hixson who won an 8-3 decision.

The only Moffat County wrestler who didn't win his match was junior Ryan Hampton. Hampton had to forfeit his match at 112-pound because he didn't make weight.

"We had a good showing at Battle Mountain," coach Roman Gutierrez said. "We wrestled pretty much the way I figured we would."

The win improves the Bulldogs overall dual record for the past five years to 76-2.
