Council to appoint new Planning and Zoning Commission members

Board alternate Rhonda Stoffle has resigned seat to move to Grand Junction

The Craig Planning and Zoning Commission will be seeking two new members at Tuesday's City Council meeting at City Hall.

The Council meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will be preceded by interviews for potential Planning and Zoning Commission applicants at a special 6:30 p.m. interview session.

Jim Meineke, who currently sits as a member of the board is seeking re-appointment.

Rhonda Stoffle, who sits as the Commission's alternate, will be moving to Grand Junction and has resigned her seat.

Mike Tucci, David VanWagner and Robert G. Nelson have applied to fill the vacancies.

The Council will also:

Address the consent agenda that includes an approval for a modification for Stockman's Liquors at 574 Pershing St.

Set a public hearing for Feb. 26 to consider approval of a plat for Theaman Minor Subdivision & a zone change from L-1 to R-3 for that portion of Lot 3 of the proposed minor subdivision which is currently zoned L-1.

Set a public hearing for Feb. 26 to consider a conditional use permit for a 500-gallon propane dispensing station at 124 W. 4th St. for B&B Welder's Supply, Inc.

Announce the appointment of Planning and Zoning Commission members.

Award a bid for Chemicals for 2002.

Award a bid for a cab and chassis for the Refuse Department.

Award a bid for a Hook Lift System for the Refuse Department.

Hold a discussion on the Welcome to Craig signs.
