Moffat County High School athletic director Jim Loughran chose a fitting venue to recognize more than 50 local businesses for their support of the high school athletic program.
Presenting certificates of appreciation to Craig businesses was Loughran's way of saying thank you.
Business representatives were brought out to half-court during halftime for during both the girls and boys basketball games Saturday, to be honored for the support they have given the athletic programs.
Loughran compiled a list of 50 plus Craig businesses who have helped the MCHS athletic program through advertisement or donations.
The money raised through the businesses has been responsible for a number of improvements for the team, including outfitting teams with new uniforms and a new PA system for the gym.
"As a school we can't say enough about what these business do for us," Loughran said. "It gives us the opportunity to do more than our budget allows us to do.
"We just wanted to say we appreciate what they've done for us, since many times the business don't get the recognition they deserve."
