The Moffat County Sheriff's Department is hosting its annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The entry fee is $120 per team of four, which includes green fees. Sign up by Saturday at the Moffat County Sheriff's Department or the Yampa Valley Golf Course.
The Yampa River Junior Golf Association will host and information session and registration for the 2001 Junior Golf program at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Yampa Valley Golf Course. There will be free food and drink, games, contests and drawings.
The Parks and Recreation Department will be offering swimming lessons for children ages 3 to 17. Classes are Monday through Thursday and last for two weeks. The first session for children 3- to 6-years-old starts June 4. The first session for youth 7 to 17 starts June 18. Class size is limited. Call 84-8151, Ext. 329 for information.
The City of Craig Parks and Recreation Department is taking registrations for swimnastics. Classes will be each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday starting June 4. There will be a class from noon to 1 p.m. and another from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Call 824-8151, Ext. 329 for more information.
Moonlight swimnastics will be held at 8:30 p.m. June 6 at the City Pool. The fee is $1.50 and there is no need to preregister.
The Moffat County basketball program is sponsoring basketball camps June 11-14 for boys and girls grades three through eight. Registrations can be picked up at East Elementary School or the high school. Cost is $30. For more information on the boys camp call Blaine at 826-4172. For information on the girls camp, call Craig 824-2670. Participants can sign up until the day the camp starts. Girls practice from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and boys from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

There will be a Rare Breed Scramble golf tournament at 1 p.m. June 15 to raise money for the Rare Breed Football clinic. Sign up either as a team or an individual at the Yampa Valley Golf Course.

The city of Craig is offering Kung-Fu Karate classes every Tuesday and Thursday at the VFW. Classes are from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for youth ages 7 to 14 and from 7:30 to 8:30 for adults. The price is $15 for youth and $25 for adults. Call 824-8151, Ext. 329 for information.
