7:30 a.m. June 27 at the Holiday Inn in Craig.
The Women's Foundation of Colorado in collaboration with the Yampa Valley Partners will host a kick-off breakfast for community leaders to share current research findings on the status of women and girls of Colorado.
The Foundation commissioned three reports "Status of Women in Colorado," "Women in High Technology" and "Our Daughters, Our Future." They are reports that track the state of girls and women in Colorado. These reports are a baseline and will help the Foundation track trends in the future.
The presentation will offer an assessment of how girls and women in Colorado are faring in terms of quality of life, economic opportunity, leadership, education and other gender based indicators.
Darcy Esch Phillips of the Women's Foundation will present the key findings from the reports. Also, Audrey Danner, executive director of the Yampa Valley Partners, will answer questions on the Yampa Valley Indicator's project and present the local perspective.
The Women's Foundation of Colorado is dedicated to the economic progress of women and girls throughout the state because the Foundation believes that women's success is essential to the success of the community. The Women's Foundation is a catalyst for social change. Since 1987, it has invested more than $5.5 million and worked with more than 170 agencies in 70 communities to increase economic opportunities for women and girls. The Women's Foundation is Colorado's only major statewide philanthropic organization that invests exclusively in these efforts and is one of the largest women's funds in the nation.
