During the month of June, The Memorial Hospital in Craig has many exciting events for the entire family to promote Wellness in our community.
In celebration of Safety Month, TMH is hosting a "Safety Day" on June 16. It will be in the City Park in conjunction with the "Widdle da Wood Wandevous." Partners for this event include the Craig Police Department and Craig Fire/Rescue, who will have Kid Kare ID kits available for no charge.
The Colorado State Patrol will have sponsor its Car Seat Program and the DARE car will be on site.
It is important for your children to register their bikes and learn about bike safety. McGruff will also be there to help children have a fun day while learning life-saving information. Dads, bring your children for Father's Day!
As part of continuing our community wellness programs, TMH and the City of Craig are hosting a second-annual "Bike to Work Day" on June 20. We are encouraging people to ride their bikes as an alternative to driving, which saves on pollution. Prizes and breakfast will be available in front of the courthouse. Watch the Craig Daily Press for more information.
If you haven't seen the Steamboat Springs Runners Circuit for this summer, you might have missed our local "Little Feet Big Steps" race. TMH and the Craig Daily Press have teamed up to sponsor the second-annual 5K/10K Walk and Run on June 23. New this year is a challenging 10K course that takes you over the sandrocks. The proceeds all go to benefit The Memorial Hospital OB department and for the ongoing recruitment efforts of finding a local OB/GYN. The race begins at TMH and registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Bring the dog, the kids and join TMH for our "Little Feet Big Steps" 5K Walk and Run. You can call TMH or the Craig Daily Press for more details!
If you haven't heard about it or seen it yet, The Memorial Hospital has created a "Hope Garden" in its existing courtyard. Stop by and see all the wonderful donations from this community! TMH would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has donated or help make this a beautiful place.
If you have any questions about the upcoming events at TMH, please feel to contact Heather Houseworth, community relations director, at (970) 824-9411.
