The Colorado Cares Volunteer Service Awards have been established to honor individuals and groups for their outstanding service, leadership and civic involvement. Volunteers are vital links to creating healthy communities.

Along with Gov. Bill Owens, the Colorado Department of Local Affairs and the Governor's Commission on Community Services, the Moffat County Commissioners have proclaimed July 28 as Colorado Cares Day in Moffat County.

Moffat County will be accepting nominations for Colorado Cares Volunteer Service Awards through June 22. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office and at the Moffat County Library. For more details, please contact: County Awards Coordinator Sue Graler at 824-9160 or Chamber Director Cathy Vanatta at 824-5689.

Moffat County is fortunate to have so many individuals and organizations that donate their time to our community. Please take a few minutes to recognize someone you know that is worthy of this award.
