Volunteers needed for Paint-A-Thon

For the fifth year, local State Farm Agent Bob Johnson will paint the exterior of residences in Craig for free. To qualify for Johnson's volunteer services, homeowners are required to be at least 60 years of age, have a disability or have limited income.

The Moffat County Department of Social Services assisted Johnson in locating candidates for the 2001 Paint-A-Thon. Samuelson's True Value Hardware donated a portion of the supplies for the project.

Johnson, and volunteers from the Boy Scouts of America Troop 166 of Craig, will be painting the homes on June 16.

Anyone interested in volunteering for the Paint-A-Thon should contact Bob Johnson at (970) 824-3258. (Submitted by State Farm Insurance Agent Bob Johnson.)
