Ag facts presents Best of the West Food Fest

The mission of the Best of the West Food Fest is to promote and showcase western Colorado's food and beverage products as a way of increasing consumer/industry awareness of the quality and diversity of farmers' and ranchers' products in this region. In addition, the event seeks to educate the public about the role agriculture plays in providing open space in western Colorado.

Western Colorado farmers, ranchers, and food processors interested in showcasing their products at the Third Best of the West Food Fest are encouraged to call Bonnie Mebane at 970-249 1305 and request a vendor packet. The packet contains show information and a vendor application. There is room available for 50 vendors. Space will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

The Food Fest, which will be held Saturday, Sep. 15, 2001, at the Montrose Pavilion, showcases food products that are produced and/or processed in western Colorado. Institutional food buyers, distributors and chefs from across the state are invited and encouraged to purchase from area suppliers.

The event is sponsored by the Riverside Grange. For more information about this event, contact Norm or Dena Brooks at 970-249-1465.
