Nellie B. Clapp

1917-2001

Nellie Clapp died at her home Feb. 21, 2001. She was 83.

On Aug. 13, 1917, in Burlington, she was born the daughter of Frances X. and L. Ethel Youtsey Murphy.

In 1953, she married Estes W. Clapp and automatically became the mother of Dale, Gerry and Cheryl. Clapp was a seamstress working at Pearl and Snowwhite Cleaners. She also worked at Town Talk Bread for several years. She moved to Craig in 1991 to be near her daughter. She moved to Sunset Meadows where she was happy and had many friends

She is survived by brothers, Bill (Lucille), Mike (Loraine) of Colorado Spring, and George of Watsonville Calif.; sister, Betty (Al) of Wilmer, Texas; son, Dale (Anna) of Lincoln, Ill; daughter, Cheryl (Mark) of Craig; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Clapp was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Eleonor, son, Gerry, parents and sister, Catharise.

Burial was Feb. 24, 2001, at Memorial Gardens in Colorado Springs.
