It is that time of the year when we enjoy getting out on these nice warm days.
Fishing conditions are improving in the area. Freeman Reservoir was recently stocked with catchable trout. Remember to get your 2001 Colorado fishing license and also pick up the 2001 Colorado fishing brochure. It contains a wealth of information such as what's new for 2001, bag and possession limits, list of waters and properties, etc.
We also start thinking about the upcoming hunting seasons at this time of year. This is a good time to go out and sight in that new rifle, or the old one that has been knocked around. Remember that it's never to early to start practicing.
A tentative hunter education class is set for Aug. 6-11 at the Craig Fire Station.
Pre-register by calling either 824-3046 or 272-3238. You can also register at the Craig Chamber of Commerce, 360 E. Victory Way, Craig.
Lets enjoy this wonderful state we call home. The activities are almost endless, but don't forget to be responsible and safe in whatever we pursue.
