The County will be accepting bids on two lots at 9:30 a.m. Friday for property located near 1st Street, between Severson Supply and Lamplighter trailer park and a lot on Clay St.
The bids will be opened at the Moffat County Board of Commissioners meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Commissioner's chambers of the Moffat County Courthouse.
"The county is always interested in returning land to the tax rolls," said Cindy Shanahan, commissioner's assistant. "A resident interested in the properties learned the County owned the lots and asked us to put the lots up for public bid, which we gladly did."
Shanahan did not know in what price range the lots would sell for, but was sure the bids would range from the ridiculous to the reasonable.
"We always get some bids for a couple of hundred dollars," she said.
Legal notices were published for the sale.
