Five Maybell Rustlers attended the seventh annual district retreat last weekend. The 4-Hers were among eight different counties on the Western Slope to meet at the Craig Holiday Inn for two nights and three days. The 4-Hers attended different educational workshops on Sat-urday followed by an exciting Saturday night with swimming, line dancing and the ever famous 4-H dance. The Maybell 4-Hers who did attend the retreat will discuss the workshops they attended at the April 7 4-H meeting.
There will be a livestock record book workshop at the Moffat County Extension Office in Craig at 3:30 p.m. April 5. All livestock 4-Hers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
There will be a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting for all parents of Maybell school students. The meeting will be at 3:15 p.m. Thursday at the school. This will be an important meeting and all parents are encouraged to attend.
Maybell students are selling raffle tickets for their annual raffle and bingo night. This is the school's only fund-raiser, so your support is helpful. The PAC is looking for anyone who would like to donate prizes for the bingo night. If you have something or you will make something, call Dianne Gould or Jean Stetson.
Congratulations to Sherri Johnson who is the new Moffat County transcriptionist for oral history at Maybell Library. Sherrie is excited and eager to begin.
Maybell Craft Club will meet at the Community Center at 1 p.m. Friday. For a list of crafts and supplies needed, call Pam Buffham.
Maybell residents are reminded to change clocks ahead when they go to bed Saturday night for daylight-saving time.
