Cars were lined up in front of TKs Truck Stop Cafe this morning as patrons discovered the popular Craig restaurant was open.
A fatal accident Feb. 6 claimed the lives of owners Tracy Zimmerman, 47, and her daughter, Kelly Stauffer, 28, and left the restaurant closed for nearly three weeks.
Zimmerman's mother, Dalpha, said she made the decision to let Stauffer's husband, Tim, manage the restaurant and hopefully keep its doors open for good.
"If Tim can do it, we'll see how it goes," she said.
The restaurant may face code issues, but Zimmerman said the Truck Stop will be open until the first of the year when it has to renew permits.
Even that may not impact the restaurant.
"I don't see any problem with us getting those permits renewed," Zimmerman said.
