Each year, the Craig Community Concert Association brings several professional performances to Craig and each year local residents are given the opportunity to showcase their talent. As part of the Concert Association season lineup, residents are preparing for the local talent show.
The local talent show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Moffat County High School auditorium. The audience will be greeted by the Yampa Valley Brass, playing a variety of numbers in the lobby of the high school as audience members arrive for the performance.
According to Community Concert Association Publicity Director Chris Comstock, gymnastic dancer Jade Mihlhoff will lead off the program followed by Ari Osborn performing a Beethoven piano solo. Lora Luke, Jesa Mihlhoff and Jori Hollenbach will each perform a vocal solo. Gene Robinson will play a piece on the piano and Kristin Whinery will close the first half with a modern dance number.
During intermission, Jim Simpson and John Vorhees will entertain concert goers in the lobby with classical guitar numbers.
The second half of the program will introduce Charleah Firestone on the harp and Malisa Luke and Irene Liofoya each performing vocal numbers. National Country Fiddle winner Olivia Davis will play the violin accompanied by John Husband on guitar and Kim Christensen on the banjo.
