Edna Mae Bittler
Edna Mae Bittler of Victor, Mont., died Jan. 23, 2000, at Bitterroot Valley Living Center in Stevensville, Mont. She was 86.
On Aug. 22, 1913, in Meadville, Pa., she was born the daughter of John and Margaret (Whiteman) Smock.
On Feb. 21, 1930, in New York, she married Gordon G. Bittler.
She is survived by children, Gene Bittler of Maybell, Colo., Karl Bittler of Sisters, Ore., Lois Northup of Walsenberg, Colo., Barbara Fenno of Silt, Colo., Rebie Bittler of Rio Rancho, N.M., Tina Rodewald of Corvallis, Mont., and Wylma Sorensen of Victor; brothers, Don Smock of Delaware, Ohio, and Howard Smock of Cochranton, Pa.; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; sons-in-law, Tom Northup Sr. and Axsel Sorensen; and a great-grandson.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
