Edgar Curtis Picard
Edgar Curtis Picard of Salome, Ariz., formerly of Craig, Colo., died Dec. 26, 1999, at Veteran's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo. He was 74.
On July 26, 1925, in Beaumont, Texas, he was born the son of Edgar and Zada (Rountree) Picard. He spent his childhood in Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On Oct. 12, 1994, in Wickenburg, Ariz., he married Vera Grace Tobey. He was a rancher and oil field worker.
He is survived by his wife; son, Terry Curtis Fisher; daughter, Pamela Person of Spokane, Wash.; brothers, Ernest Picard of Weatherford, Texas, and Kenneth Picard of Liberty, Texas; sisters, Lora O'Brien and Doris Bochmann of Fruita, Colo.; and three grandchildren.
Services was held Dec. 29, 1999, at McLean Funeral Home in Fruita. Palbearers were David Bochmann, Bruce Bochmann, Chuck Sadvar, Troy DeRose and Alan Knob.
Burial was at Craig Cemetery.
