Robert L. Clifton
Robert L. Clifton of Craig, Colo., died Dec. 24, 1999, in Craig. He was 69.
On April 4, 1930, he was born the son of James and Thelma (Lewis) Clifton. He was raised and attended school in Mt. Harris, Colo., and Hayden, Colo. He served in the U.S. Marines. He worked as a cement contractor in Denver and at the Moffat County Road and Bridge Department until his retirement in 1994.
On April 15, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Wanda M. (Wilson) Everette.
He is survived by his wife; son, Larry (Pat) Clifton of Stillwater, Okla.; stepson, Bob (Martha) Everette of Craig; sisters, Alene Holly and Helen Hatch of Grand Junction, Colo.; brothers, Howard (Ann) Clifton of Grand Junction, Colo., Don (Bonnie) Clifton of Littleton, Colo., and Richard (Betty) Clifton of Grand Junction; grandchildren, Dayllin and Effie Clifton; step-grandchildren, Aaron Everette, Michelle Everette and David Everette, Michael Black, Kevin Hane and Tina Hane; and great-grandchildren, Justin Everette and Ryan Conway.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, David Everette.
Memorial services will be held next summer at Hahn's Peak.
