Amber Lea Stehle and Shane Kawcak were married July 17, 1999. The ceremony was officiated by Tim Osborn of the First Congregational Church in Craig and was held in the garden at the home of the bride's mother. The wedding was celebrated by the release of butterflies to signify everlasting love and happiness.
The bride wore a satin wedding gown with a beaded bodice, battenburg lace and a formal train. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Cary L. Stehle. The bride's mother, Julie Hanna, played the wedding march. Bridal attendants included: Val Martin, matron of honor and friend of the bride; Michaela Schendel, matron of honor and friend of the bride; and Shaylyn Kawcak, bridesmaid and daughter of the groom.
The groom and his attendants wore black tuxedo jackets and vests. Attendants were: Aaron Hathorn, best man and friend of the groom; John Kawcak, groomsman and brother of the groom; and Aaron Kawcak, groomsman and son of the groom.
Susie Lord, friend of the couple, performed two vocal selections. Kelsey Comeau, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book and Cameron Comeau, cousin of the bride, was the butterfly tender.
Special guests included Lindsey Kawcak and Tate Terrill, nieces of the groom, and all of the out-of-town family members of the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion, which had been transformed into a garden gazebo. Guests danced until late in the evening to the band "Black Timber" from Delta, Colo. Lending their culinary talents and assistance were: Pam Kamzalow, Judy Smith, Peggy Hough and Kelvin Stehle, who served a buffet dinner, and Nick Kamzalow, Greg Smith and Michael Kirby, who tended the bar.
The couple will live in Craig with the groom's two children, Aaron and Shaylyn.
