Personnel matters will headline the Moffat County School District Board of Education meeting Tuesday.
In an executive session beginning at 4 p.m., the board will review probationary teachers from Craig Intermediate School (CIS), Sunset, Ridgeview and East elementary schools, Craig Middle School (CMS), Moffat County High School (MCHS), Maybell School, Dinosaur School and special education. Coaches from Craig Middle School and Moffat County High School will also be reviewed.
During the regular session beginning at 7 p.m. in the board room of the Moffat County School District Administration Building, an administrative recommendation will be given for the following teachers to remain in their current positions: MCHS Principal Joel Sheridan, CMS Principal Steve Wiersma, CIS Principal Bruce Gregg, East Elementary Principal Guy Gladden, Ridgeview Elementary Principal Pete Bergmann, Sunset Elementary Principal Jim Rugh, Finance Director Mike Brinks, Curriculum Director Janet Bohart, Transportation Director Jim Baptist, Maintenance Director Mike Taylor and Food Service Coordinator Judy Baker.
During the "reasons we are proud" section of the meeting, MCHS speech coach and instructor Jill Grimes will introduce the three national speech qualifiers from the high school.
Brinks will give a preliminary budget review and Sheridan will give an athletic activity council report, involving interscholastic athletics, adult citizenship policy and coaching consistency. Bohart will discuss a plan to improve literacy.
