Congratulations to Dotty Petrini for receiving an award for her outstandiing efforts volunteering her time to the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice organizations. Dotty received this award last week during an assembly to recognize all the volunteers in the area. Good job, Dotty.
The seniors had a wonderful dinner of barbecue beef on a bun last Thursday along with all the side dishes. The Visiting Nurse Association was there to check blood pressure and weight. The next dinner will be at noon April 27. Everyone is invited to bring a covered dish and 75 cents to the Community Center.
Maybell School students have raffle tickets left for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas (air and hotel included). The raffle tickets are only $1. Contact a student or call Dianne Gould for tickets. The winner will be chosen the night of the annual bingo at 7 p.m. April 29 in the Maybell gym.
The Maybell PAC is looking for donations of handmade items, gifts, money, certificates, etc. For the bingo prizes any and all items will be appreciated and need to be at the school by April 27 or call Dianne Gould or Jean Stetson.
The Maybell 4-H club is collecting aluminum cans. If you have any to donate, call Lance or Brian Poole. Thank you to everyone who has donated cans.
Maybell Women's Club had its monthly meeting Tuesday. After an informative meeting, where all the committees spoke on there up-to-date information, the Women's Club adjourned for refreshments provided by Lorena Shaffer and Marla Stephenson.
