Donald Rolando hosted a surprise birthday party for his wife, Theresa, April 15 at their home with a group of friends.

Several peewee wrestlers from Hayden competed at the tournament in Steamboat Springs April 15.

The Tom Kostur family was recently in Laramie, Wyo., where Kayla played basketball with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball Association.

Margaret Summer died very suddenly April 8 of a heart attack in Couer d'Alene, Idaho where she had lived for a number of years with her daughter, Gere. The family held a memorial service in Couer d'Alene April 13. There will be a memorial service here for the cremains at a later date.

Mr. and Mrs. John Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Cody Sweetser, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Doolin and their families spent spring break on a vacation trip to Florida.

Peggy Dunning and Kathy Lozinsky were in Colorado Springs April 13-14 to attend a business seminar pertaining to managing a facility such as the Haven.
The Yampa Valley Regional Airport is in its summer schedule with minimal employees to meet the needs of commuter planes.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walker recently returned from a vacation to Las Vegas and Mesquite.

Phil Aber was here a week ago to attend the open house at the Hayden Public Library. While in Hayden she was a house guest of Olive Dean Blake.

A barbecue was held at the Haven April 15 hosted by the board for staff, residents and families. For all who were able to attend it was a day to visit and enjoy the food.

Jody and Erin Babcock announced the birth of their daughter, Kacie Lane, born April 13, 2000. Kacie Lane weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 19 inches long. The Babcocks traveled to Greeley to help welcome Kacie into the world.
Maternal grandparents are Andrea Wildman of Windsor, Colo., and Cary Kitch of Florida.
Paternal grandparents are Don and Darleen Babcock of Hayden.

Roger and Jackie Steele were here from Grand Junction to spend time with relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Montieth have returned from spending the winter months in Arizona. They are happy to be back to this beautiful valley for the summer.

Megan Copeland is spending a few weeks in Colorado Springs working for American Airlines.

Dave and Christopher Hainault had a great time over spring break traveling to Minnesota by motorcycle to visit relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hockett purchased a home in Golden Meadows from Kathy's mother, Carol Wille. They had been living there for some time.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pero have returned home from a two-week vacation to Florida where they visited Bill's children.

Mr. and Mrs. George Montieth made a trip to Denver to visit their daughter, Mandy.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Stephenson went to Grand Junction April 1-2 for a mini- vacation.

Pat Holderness is home after a vacation trip to Arizona. Her daughters, Cheryl and Ann, and their families, were there to help share the beautiful weather and just being together.

Bridget Camilletti spent several days in Denver visiting friends.

Phyllis Burrows moved from Haven Assisted Living Facility to the senior citizen complex in Craig. We wish her well.

The Rollin Boutwell family made a trip to Grand Junction to move Tammy's father, Jack Barnes, to Craig for the summer months.
