Blee suspect located after disappearance

After a brief disappearance, Moffat County Sheriff's Department officials have found the prime suspect in the Marie Blee missing persons case Monty Doolin

Moffat County Undersheriff Jerry Hoberg said the department was unaware of Doolin's location late last week.

The Steamboat Pilot reported Doolin missing in an article Friday.

According to Hoberg, Doolin had just moved to another residence in Grand Junction.

"We are now aware of his location," said Hoberg. "[Moffat County Sheriff's Department Investigator Chuck Warner] found that he had just moved to a different home in Grand Junction."

Doolin is one of the three suspects in the 21-year-old missing persons case. Max Able Garcia of Portland Ore., and Steve Skufca of Craig are the other two.

Blee disappeared after a party in Craig in November 1979.

The case has been reopened and a task force has been formed from the Routt County Sheriff's Department, the Moffat County Sheriff's Department and the Craig Police Department to try and solve the case.
