Jordon Mander was a patient at Routt Memorial Hospital in Steamboat Springs last week suffering with severe asthma.

Four sponsors and two teachers accompanied the sixth-graders on their trip to Camp Kiwanas. All report that it was educational.

Cammy Archuleta announced the birth of her daughter, Mya Marie, born Sept. 14, 1999, at Routt Memorial Hospital in Steamboat Springs. Mya Marie weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 19 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Archuleta of Hayden. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Billy Mack of Hayden.

Olive Dean Blake made a trip to Grand Junction, Colo., to be with her friend, Yvonne Burbridge, when her husband, Tuffy, suffered a stroke.

Joe Walker and his mother, Sylvia, went to Fort Collins to attend the wedding of Sylvia's second cousin. Sylvia's sons, Jason and Jimmy, traveled from the University of Wyoming to be with them. The family stayed at the new home of Sylvia's son, John, and wife, Charla, in Denver.

Many Hayden people took the hunting safety course at the high school the week of Sept. 20.

The Craig Copeland family traveled to Montrose, Colo., to attend the wedding of Sundi Jenkins. Judy Copeland rode with them so she could visit her brother, Jack Simkins, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Haslem hosted a get-together at their ranch in Jensen, Utah, Sept. 18-19. Guests enjoyed food and visiting Saturday evening and again Sunday. Church services were held Sunday morning with the Rev. Bill Iammatteo Code. Some camped at the ranch, while others went to motels in Vernal, Utah.

Enid (Bissell) Kuchler from Hawaii is here visiting friends and relatives.

Marie Holderness recently moved to the Haven Assisted Living facility.

Derek James Stephenson celebrated his 16th birthday Sept. 20. Family members helped him celebrate with cake and ice cream.

On Sept. 21 Bill and Charlene Barnes left for West Virginia to take Margie and Jay Briggs home after being here visiting her sons and their families.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Olson visited their sons, Erik and Nils, and Erik's family the weekend of Sept. 18-19.
