The Moffat County High School junior varsity and freshmen volleyball teams finished their season with wins Saturday at the high school gym.
The junior varsity team downed the Hayden varsity team, 15-11 and 15-10.
"We were playing their varsity and it ended up being just our sophomores and a couple of our freshmen were playing," said junior varsity coach Misty Jones. "Our whole junior varsity team didn't play.
"We did really well and they played hard."
Jones said she had a good time coaching the junior varsity squad.
"We had a lot of fun this year and the junior varsity team improved a lot during the season," said Jones. "We really improved on our serves and that's what we worked on a lot. They also improved on their serve and receive. Mostly they improved on their passing."
The freshmen team won in two games, 15-11 and 15-1, to end the year with a 11-5 season.
"Their passing and serving were both great on Saturday against Hayden," said freshmen coach Karen Rohnke. "Those are the two things that we focus on at the freshmen level."
Rohnke said her team accomplished its goals.
"Our goals at the start of the year was to serve 80 percent and make 50 percent of our passes each game and match," said Rohnke. "We achieved both of those goals. I had a lot of fun working with this team."
