Oct. 25 - Egg roll, steamed rice with sweet and sour sauce, mixed vegetables, vanilla cookies.
Oct. 26 - Hamburger and tator-tot casserole, bread, green beans, scalloped tomatoes, orange sunset salad.
Oct. 27 - Ham and bean soup, egg salad sandwich, Waldorf salad, orange juice, butterscotch pudding.
Oct. 28 - Chicken A' La King, noodles, harvest beets, biscuits with honey butter, peaches and cottage cheese.
Oct. 29 - Pepperoni pizza, tossed salad, peas and carrots, sherbet.
Great pumpkin party
Carbon County Higher Education Coordinator Christy Stocks announced that the annual "Great Pumpkin Party," will be held Tuesday in the Little Snake River Valley School lunch room. Pre-school children and kindergarten students need to bring their own pumpkin at 1:30 p.m. Students in first through sixth grade need to bring their pumpkins at 3:15 p.m.
Decorations for the pumpkins will be provided as well as treats for the participants. Assistance from parents, grandparents or other adults would be greatly appreciated. For more information or to volunteer, call Christy at 383-7745.
The annual "Taste of Home," cooking school and show will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Moffat County High School Auditorium in Craig. Doors and booths will open at 5 p.m.
This is a two-hour cooking clinic with on-stage demonstrations of food preparation, new food products and kitchen shortcuts. Everyone who attends receives a cookbook, gift bag and is eligible for drawings during the evening. Carbon County Higher Education Coordinator Christy Stocks can get tickets.
