Other MCHS speech team members are Eric Boutwell, Justin Hunsaker, Steve Jackman and Stephanie Raschke.
Moffat County High School Speech coach Jill Grimes is pleased with the performance.
"This tournament was good for us," Grimes said. "It got our engines running again. Most of the varsity team members broadened their horizons and tried something new. The novice students learned the tournament process and did quite well for their first tournament. In fact, one of our novices placed a fairly unusual occurrence."
Next up for the speech team is the George Washington Novice Tournament Oct. 30.
