The Moffat County Colorado State University Extension Office will hold an open house from 3 to 7 p.m.. Friday to introduce the public to the new facility the Extension Office moved into four months ago.
The community will also have a chance to meet new agricultural and natural resources extension agent Ann Franklin. Franklin started her position in September and the open house will allow the public to find out what she has planned.
According to county Extension Office Director DeLaine Brown, the open house will be a great way for the community to be informed about what has been going on with the Extension Office and what programs will be introduced in the future.
"We decided that this would be a really good way to show everyone our new facility and explain to people the programs we are working on," said Brown.
Refreshments and door prizes served and people who are curious about the Extension Office's new building will get a chance to view the building for themselves. Brown believes people will be impressed.
"The new facility is wonderful," said Brown. "It gives us so many more opportunities to educate the public on some important issues."
