U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jaime R. Powell graduated from the aerospace ground equipment apprentice and mission ready technician course at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mission ready technician students undergo six months of intensive training in turbine and diesel engines, and electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration and pneumatic systems to support worldwide aircraft maintenance and operations.
Students are able to operate, inspect, maintain and repair aircraft ground support equipment. Training included use of technical data, special tools, environmental materials handling and maintenance safety procedures.
Powell is the son of Freda Powell of Dinosaur, Colo., and Marvin Powell of Salt Lake City, Utah.
His wife, Marcia, is the daughter of Mark W. and Pam Berrett of Rangely, Colo.
He is a 1998 graduate of Rangely High School.
