The Maybell Rustlers had their monthly meeting Dec. 3. The Rustlers discussed the upcoming 4-H Christmas party. The Maybell Rustlers will meet at the Craig Pizza Hut at noon Saturday. They will then go bowling and shopping for the Toys for Tots. Each 4-H member is to bring a gift for the exchange and $5. R.S.V.P. by tonight to Libby Stetson.
The Maybell Rustlers would like to thank Mick and Nancy O'Conor for donating so many aluminum cans to the group. If anyone has any cans to donate to the Maybell group let Lance Poole know.
The annual Christmas at the Jarvie Ranch in Brown's Park will be Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come to an old-fashioned Christmas. There will be workshops all day, such as making ornaments, a children's program, decorating with nature and a display of wildlife trees.
After hearing the live Christmas music and drinking free hot cider, take a sleigh ride or exchange Christmas stories over the campfire. If you haven't experienced the Christmas feeling yet this would be a great way to start the holiday season out.
The Maybell Elementary School Christmas play and concert will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. The children are working on their parts to the play "An Outlaw Christmas." Maybell locals are encouraged to attend the play and concert and as usual a "visitor" will be visiting all children with special treats.
Maybell Women's Club will have its annual Christmas party at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The women will find out who their secret pal has been and they will draw for new secret pals. Each lady needs to bring her secret pal's Christmas gift, a grab bag gift and a favorite Christmas goody. All Maybell women are welcome to attend this Christmas party.
All Maybell residents are encouraged to decorate with lights this year. Thanks to the Yampa Valley Electric Association donation for the lighting contest, the contest this year will be judged on Dec. 20 and will be judged from R. Stoffle's corner to Sunbeam.
The Maybell seniors had their only dinner of December on Thursday. The great Christmas turkey dinner was filling after all the side dishes were added. The seniors were treated to Christmas songs sung by Maybell children.

The Friday afternoon craft club is welcoming anyone who wants to join the group from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each Friday. Different crafts are made and craft ideas are exchanged. Anyone is welcome.
Maybell Library will start informal computer classes in January. This class will be mainly to answer questions and to know how to use all the options on the computer. If anyone is interested in this type of class, call Becky or Dianne at Maybell Library. The Christmas party for the library patrons will be Dec. 15. There will be Christmas goodies and music. Check out the book of the week and mention this article and receive a free gift.
Teddy Bear Story Time will make reindeers and hear Christmas stories from 11:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday. Any children ages 2 to 6 are welcome to join in the fun.
