1 vehicle involved in Colorado Highway 13 rollover

At 8:30 p.m. Monday, law enforcement and emergency agencies responded to a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road at mile post 87 on Colorado Highway 13.

One vehicle had veered off the east side of the highway, down an embankment toward the river.

The vehicle had rolled over and landed on its side, said Bill Johnston, Craig Fire/Rescue chief.

Johnston said the vehicle stopped about 12 feet from the river's edge, and the driver was trapped inside.

Firefighters extracted the driver from the vehicle by cutting the roof open.

The driver was then transported to The Memorial Hospital.

Moffat County Sheriff Tim Jantz said the Sheriff's Office, Colorado State Patrol and Craig Police Department also responded to the crash.

Jantz said the Sheriff's Office has not released a report on the incident.

The name of the person involved in the accident also has not been released.
