Republican Senator from Texas announced on the senate floor Monday morning, in front of the cspan cameras that social security checks and MediCare payments will stop in 7 years.
The Washington Post this past week wrote that the Social Security Trust Fund has nothing but paper in it, IOU's that amount to over 2 trillion dollars.
They are paying benefits with current collected funds.
The nation is in serious trouble. Is anyone listening?
I hope this county, as well as the state, has a back-up plan for their elderly.
