People, people, people. Where is your class? Is it really necessary to spread rumors about a respectable man who is fighting for his life against cancer? Last night I caught wind of an individual who was calling many people and telling them that Steve had passed away. I called the individual to put a hault to the incorrect information that was hitting the streets like wildfire. This person thought they had a reliable source and the news was accurate. Due to this act, the individual had to eat crow and call everyone back to rectify the inaccuracy. I realize she felt terrible for what she had done as it was not intentional. It had even started before this and the rumor had already spread to Steve's kids schools. I'm sure their hearts just dropped like a rock, again. As this happened last week. This is my suggestion to those who gossip. If you haven't read it in the newspaper, don't repeat it. Our community needs to respect the privacy of this family. They have been through enough and have a hard road ahead of them. We don't need to be heros by being the first person to deliver meals, flowers, etc. We need to pray for their family and offer support when they need us and not before. Please have some respect.

Well said. He is a great person, has a great family and they don't need the added stress of rumors. Thank you for posting this.

What they are going through is hard enough. They sure don't need rumors going around.

What a heart breaker if he has passed. He is/was a nice guy.
