The criminal who sits in the WH filed a brief to the Supreme Court on Tuesday along side the gun control case telling the Supreme Court to rule against all guns…including hunting rifles, personal protection, everything.

I wrote an editorial a couple of weeks ago about this and it's coming true.

Call Allard and give him hell. Rep. Goode, R-VA filed a response to him yesterday asking him to repeal the brief.

We're in trouble if America doesn't wake up now.here and email the President…

Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA) has sent the following letter to the White
House asking them to undo the huge harm they have caused the Second
Amendment with the brief they filed in the DC gun ban case.
    ––––––––––––-
    January 22, 2008
    President George W. Bush
    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
    Washington DC 20500
    Dear President Bush:
Your Solicitor General has just filed a brief with the U.S. Supreme
Court in the D.C. v. Heller case arguing that categorical gun bans of
virtually all self-defense firearms are constitutional if a court
determines they are “reasonable” — the lowest standard of
    constitutional review.
If this view prevails, a national ban on all firearms — including
hunting rifles — could be constitutional, even if the court decides
    — on ample historical evidence — that the Founders intended the
Second Amendment as an individual right.
I would ask that you direct the Justice Department to withdraw this
unfortunate brief and to replace it with an opinion which reflects
the right of law-abiding Americans to keep and bear arms.
    Thank you for your consideration.
    Sincerely yours,
    Virgil Goode

taxslave-I am so sick of this. I have kept quiet, but I just can't do it any longer. Basic constitutional history. Studied it in jr. high or high school. Can't remember which. Three branches of government: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Three different jobs. The Executive Branch is charged with the execution of the day-to-day management of the country. It can not make laws or interpret them. Those two roles are reserved for the Legislative Branch and the Judicial Branch. The President signs legislation into law, or veto's them. But it is the Legislative Branch-Senate and Congress-that debates, crafts, writes and passes the laws of this country. Not the President. That is why, at this time of year, it just drives me crazy when all the politicians make all these empty promises. They are promising the moon and they can't deliver it. Never could, never will. It is easy to blame the President for things not done, but it isn't his job to do them. The congress and senate have stonewalled every effort to create an energy policy and only cater to special interest groups.

This President has vetoed or ignored everything the Congress has done. He has more signing statements that I can count anymore. We are sitting under a dictator right now.

Well, cry me a river! If the legislation was that good, they could override a veto. All the want to do is bicker over everything. If my kids acted like politicians, they would get a visit out behind the woodshed.

Bush signed every spending bill for six and 1/2 years spending more that the Dems. ever hoped to spend under Clinton, Carter, or anybody else in history. He is not conservative he is and was like Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Hillary, John McCain, and B. H. Obama selected and approved by the club of elites to be your Decider in Chief.

How can anyone defend the republican party because the elected are demonstrating that they are as bad now as the democrats were in 1960. It's not just a national problem, the local republicans have produced the local Moffat County hall of shame candidates like the former chief harasser and the disgrace still in the District Attorney's Office. That's Ok we like bad publicity in Moffat County. Riiiiiiightttt!

Debate on the 2nd Amendment starts next week before the Supreme Court. Montana made it clear that their 2nd Amendment Rights were an individual right BEFORE they joined the Union. We'll see what's up their sleeve in DC.

Regarding the Republican Party, well, I've been Republican for 35 years and I don't know who these people are. I keep thinking of the movie, “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.

    From 1929 to 1953, about

20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves,

    were rounded up and

    exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915

    to 1917, 1.5 million

Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded

    up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from

    1939 to 1945, a total of 13

million Jews and others who were unable to defend

    themselves were rounded up

    and exterminated

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to

    1952, 20 million

political dissidents, unable to defend themselves,

    were rounded up and

    exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964

    to 1981, 100,000 Mayan

Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded

    up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to

    1979, 300,000

Christians, unable to defend themselves, were

    rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975

    to 1977, one million

'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were

    rounded up and

    exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in

    the 20th Century because

    of gun control: 56 million.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in

    Australia were forced by new

law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be

    destroyed by their own

government, a program costing Australia taxpayers

    more than $500 million

dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent

Note that while the law-abiding citizens

turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their

guns! It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said

that too! Guns in the hands of honest citizens save

lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control,

    please remind him of

    this history lesson.

    With Guns…………We Are “Citizens”.

    Without Them……..We Are “Subjects”.

During W.W.II the Japanese decided not to invade

    America because they knew

    most Americans were ARMED!

Note: Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack on

    Pearl Harbor had attended

Harvard U 1919-1921 & was Naval Attaché to the U.S. 1925-28. Most of our

Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor & our Army had been deprived of funding

was ill prepared to defend the country.

It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U. S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived in the U. S. & knew that almost all households

    had guns.

50 cal-I have never just followed the party. I only registered republican to get Jeff out of the sheriff's office. I hate having parties. I wish that we could just have candidates who ran without a party. Have always voted for the one who I felt I could agree with the most. Maybe you should run for something. I'd vote for you! LOL

The parties suck. I am a Republican. Those in office, well, i don't know what they are but they're not Republicans….that's for sure. I can't tell them apart. Two wings off the same bird.

Ron Paul is going all the way to the convention. McCain will reckon with the real Republicans before it's over. Ron Paul is still on the ballot. The MSM, main stream media, is doing their best to cover him up. Google, “Operation Mockingbird”….then you'll understand.

Never again will I vote the lesser of two evils to keep a party….no way. Barr just entered the race on the Libertarian ticket. Barr and Paul will make toast of McCain.

Neither party deserves the trust of the American people.

Hey sis I'm not saying you are but they are walking from us. IF JFK were to come back right now do you think he would be more republican or demoncrate? point is the dems have become communists and the republicans have moved to the left to compensate. I really think I'm going to have to reregister as a libratarian. I don't agree with everything they stand for either but I do agree with alot more of what they say. I don't know if I'm even going to vote. I'm waiting to see what john Mcains brief says about gun control before I decide.

I don't see a third party winning, just pulling votes away from a candidate. I may agree with a third party, but if I vote for it, it's giving one more vote to the democrats. That is something that scares me to death. That's what Ross Perot did. I know, I know. Abe Lincoln did it in 1860, but that was once in over 200 years. I just don't see it happening in this day and age. Maybe if the numbers ever show it as a close 3 way race, I'll rethink it.

I'm not saying i'm voting for the third party i'm just not going to support the republican party any more. I joined while still in high school. I got a survey from them a while back at the end it asked me to renew my membership in the gop. I wrote grow a set of balls stand up for our rights and then talk to me about donating money. sad they just don't share my views anymore. their trying to hard to be liked. what they don't realize is that their party faithful like strong people who stand up for our rights, who don't bend to special rights. people who inspire the best of this country will win everytime.

Both Parties are full of Policical correcness, “run-a-mok” The most discriminated against group of people in this country are white males. I wished a third party had a contender, but i just dont see it. I dont really like McCain, but the other two leading democrats scare the heck out of me. Think we have it bad now, just wait till they Repeal all the tax cuts, and we pay about half again as much as we are now. I wish there was a level headed person that wanted the job, but when it costs millions to get a job that pays thousands, i dont think any of them are very level headed.

The new budget was approved yesterday in Congress w/o the cuts. Everyone's taxes will raise 3x's that stimulus check….easy.

The Independents in this country are over 40% of registered voters. Don't be sheep, we've got it in the bag if we just pay attention. McCain is an embarrassment….and yes, let's talk gun control…he's already getting behind the agenda of the New World Order.
