79-year-old dies in rollover accident on U.S. Highway 40 near Maybell September 25, 2016
I have a question for the commissoners. Why do the fields at Loudy Simpson look like shit ???
Maybe they are saving their pennies for the 10,000 seat amphitheater by not watering the lawn. Think the lawns look bad, wait until they build that thing, we will no longer have a need for a separate mud pit for mud runs and volleyball.
call the courthouse and ask for main, ask for lenny
greenie, because that's what they put on them as fertilizer.
I had not been down Loudy way for awhile so when going out for a round of 9 this morning, I decided to stop by the ball fields and take a look myself.
Wow...what an embarrassment this has turned out to be, greenie is absolutely right on about them looking like crap. The fields have no green left and the grass in the outfields is completely dead. Pretty soon they will be dirt fields with no grass at all, then what??
With water being so cheap, what is the excuse for this? We are not under water restrictions and the last time I looked the Yampa had plenty in it.
For this lack of attention, I am hoping money makers like triple crown and other who come from far and wide to use our facilities, hotels, restaurants and other businesses will see this mess and go somewhere else.
There is NO excuse for this lack of attention, none. Loudy used to be so lush, green and peaceful, I loved going there but now stray as far away as possible.
Those responsible should be ashamed, and they want to build an amphitheater? HA...HA...HA!!! You can't even maintain grass, which needs WATER, how the heck are you going to maintain a Red Rocks size outdoor amphitheater? Someone needs to let their head back out into the sunshine.
David, the county only has one guy that knows how to fix the system and he has given his notice of aug 1st to get the hell out of that god for given mess.I work here and I know it is only going to get worse.
So the sprinkler system is broken? Still not much of an excuse to just let the lawn die. Nobody in the entire county department knows how to fix it? I find that a bit hard to believe
