Are the MOCO commissioners smart enough to consider a fire ban? Why isn't the paper asking these questions? http://www.steamboattoday.com/news/2013/jul/01/routt-county-prepares-enact-stage-1-fire-restricti/
The correct thing to do would be for the county to pass an ordinance making it against the law for anyone to bring fish shocking or fish killing equipment into the boundaries of the county.
Then we could get the Useless Fish And Wildlife Service out of here.
Then after that build a dam at Juniper Cross and then the fishing would return to Moffat County, we would have lots of water for industry, irrigation and people.
Then when the fishing returns in a few years then tourism would flourish in Moffat County with no need for a committee.
Just for everyones information. According to the Colorado River Recovery Program 98b, their recommendation is to poison Elkhead Reservoir, killing all the fish in it. Now theres a tax dollar well spent for you!
