Most people that think solar and wind is a good idea don't realize that both of these forms of energy are highly subsidized by tax dollars. And that if wind and solar were your only choices for electrical generation, the costs would be 3 to 4 times what you are paying now and brown outs and black outs would be very common. To get the same capacity from wind or solar as a plant like Craig Station takes many many hundreds of acres of ground to erect them. If you want cheap power the only real answer to rid this country of coal power is either building many more huge reservoirs for hydro power or nuclear energy. But the stupid government is making it impossible to build a dam, and the people have this inordinant fear of atomic energy.

We live in a Global Economy where American influence is waning. The New EPA regulations and the political hassle over the Keystone pipeline will not eliminate pollution in the Global Economy, will only promote the export of our energy source to Asia and the rest of the Global Community where they will pay little or no attention to our president and his green, renewable energy plan. Our energy prices will continue rising while we subsidize green energy scams.
