The redistribution of wealth has already happened.Over the last 30 years the avg. pay of CEO's has went from 25 time the avg blue collar worker to today's 475 times the avg worker.
That being said Romney WILL raise taxes on the little guy.To those making 20,000 a year he will raise your taxes 60%.
This countries infrastructure is falling apart.NO one will make any money if we don't invest in our own country and stop investing over seas. It's time to stop the Socialism of the rich we have been using and do as has been done in the past. Lets tax the ones that ran this country into the ground. The rich and non-tax paying corporations. It's worse then that as these huge corporations not only pay no taxes they get huge tax refunds. Romneys answer to that is to tax families making 20,000 a year. Raise taxes on a family getting food stamps don't make sense to me. What about you?
No, never made sense at all.
I suppose one could surmise that there are more people in the working class than in the richest 2%, therefore a broader tax base to pull money from, not logical by any means, but it is how it is...and it sucks.
I don't really care about politics, I could vote for Charlie Brown and Lucy for VP for all I care, I just hope America can somehow get back on track and become what we once were, the world superpower. That will only happen once we stop pandering to other countries, funding other countries unnecessarily...like North Korea, and bring the "Made in the USA" back to where it belongs. We need to take care of us now, not everyone else, let them figure it out for themselves. I know that may sound harsh, tough love I guess, but I am tired of funding every other country with it's hand out. GO AWAY, we have our own problems. Once back in the groove, then maybe we can be nice again. Anyone see any other country stepping up to help us? No. China does not count, especially when we get on our knees for them, they pretty much bought us at our own request. That is not help in my book.
Just my non-caring-political view.
We could only hope to be socialist, we are in truth a Fascist Nation. We became that way the day money was given to AIG. The word "fascist" comes from the word of Fascisti embraced by Moussilini and the Brown Shirts. As Moussilini explained; "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power." There is much more history here, but whats the point? People who make statement like the letter written don't read, they are locked into Fox News, or just TV in general. People are oblvious to what the real story is because it would mean they have to think and see they are responsible for what has taken place in this nation. This nation became apathic, and complacent along with loss of social manors, kindness, and giving.
Our Grandparents, were the greatest people the world ever saw. Why? Because they took care of each other. Then understood the word share. They embraced the idea of helping each other, even the rich understood the pride of being an American and helping their fellow country men. NOT ANY MORE. Greed is our anthem. One who buys into the idea its a bad to tax the top 2% of this nation, they should only pay 15% of the taxes has their head in the sand. All this falls in with the lack of education. Uneducated people follow, they don't lead. They do what they are told. Educated people might demand more. They might even be real reporters that will point out the lies and deception we are being fed.....can't have that now can we!
We have allowed this nation to be fractured by those in power. Take a look at the wealth that is massed by those in Washington. All of them are multi-millionairs, all purchased and sold out the American people. Do you really think for a moment they will vote for higher taxes on themselves? They even have made it legal for themselves to have insider trading (the same thing Martha Stewart was sent to prison for.) Sheepeople and following the herd. Romney is one of the 2%, and will not be working in the intrest of the American people. Nor are we a Socialist nation , that would be better than what we are now.
If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people-their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties-someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal", then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."
— John Fitzgerald Kennedy (Profiles in Courage)
I will agree with the statement of Kennedy. I believe in doing what is moral and right by others, and not placing a price tag on help of our nation. Our policys are being made by people who don't understand the term CIVIL SERVICE, only SELF SERVICE.
