    Loved the Maypole dances. My aunt has movie pictures from probably 1955 . She took them from a distance to see how many students were dancing. Great memory for me.

    Brings back fond memories of doing the “Maypole Dance” on the front lawn of Yampa Elementary School (what is now the school district administration building on Yampa Avenue) when I was a youngster.

    A memory of the Maypole dance for me at the Elementary school, which is now the Admin bldg. on Yampa Ave. Mrs. Sweeney taught us how to do it. I think I could still do it. Some things you just don't forget!
