I thought “Joe the plumber” turned out to be a guy that wasn't a plumber, owed back taxes and child support, etc. So, can anyone explain why McCain's campaign now has a commercial where his supporters all proudly say, “I'm Joe the plumber and I support John McCain” or something along those lines? Are his people trying to lose the election?

Apparently most, if not all, of the negative information on 'Joe the Plumber' was incorrect.

Really? Then why did McCain say, when he was on David Letterman and “Joe the plumber” was mentioned, that he needs to “get his plumber's license first.”
