Question of the week
News this week showed snowpack in the Yampa River basin has reached 94 percent of median for the date. Do you think Moffat County is out of the woods as far as drought concerns?

Greetings,
It is my belief that this forum is meant for the community to have a manner in which to share it's opinions. That is why I tend to not respond to comments made regarding the Craig Daily Press or questions asked of the Craig Daily Press. I appreciate your feedback with regards to the forum. As we move towards redesigning our website and adding different features, I will stay tuned, I will take your opinions into consideration. Again, I appreciate your feedback.
Thanks

I agree with slashdot, not having to go back and forth to read posts is nice but the rest is the pits. I think the blank messages is the papers way of giving us stuff to talk about! lol
like they are saying this is ok to chat about and don't cross the line

The entries are blank because someone used html that has now been deleted or something. I do not understand why the cd press is censoring the html, it is just words, maybe the cd press could respond?

hmmm, i kinda like having all of the messages shown on one page rather than having to go back a page to read the next message in a thread. seems more efficient to me than the old forum.

Obviously they are using the same software being used by the Pilot. They are also planning to change the format of the online newspaper and I would assume it will be the same changes that have been made to the Pilot. I barely even read the Pilot anymore. I prefer less navigation, not more. So I guess if you have complaints, you should voice them now…though I imagine they will fall on deaf ears. Has anyone tried emailing Bryce? He promptly answered my emails when the new forum was being developed.

Has anyone tried to call the Press and talk to them on the phone since they don't seem to be answering here on the forum? Did they not have someone answering questions on the last forum about the local sports or do I have that confused with something else?

I have to agree with the above feelings that this new forum is not easy to use, it's clumsy and difficult to read posts.
Come on CDPress, either give us back the old forum format or at least get something online that is better than this.
Please :)

Freedom of speech is one thing, slander and lible another. It was going both ways when they shut down, and either of the candidates could easily have sued the paper for allowing people to anonymously say the things they were all saying. It might have been a different story if people had been required to use their real names. That way the paper wouldn't have been the first target for a lawsuit, the individual would have been.

I don't know what the motive was for shutting this site down so close to the election. I sure hope it wasn't for the reasons I think it was.
Freedom of expression is a right and freedom of the press gives an avenue to express that right.
Discussions were getting heated over the candidates. Well, politicians need to know this….If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

I'm with you mom. This new format is far worse. I was with the understanding when change is made it's usually for the better. More user friendly, fast and efficient. I realize as a rule, it takes time to get used to any change, but I think we all have used a pc long enough, and played with this monster long enough to realize this new program is an exception to that rule. Thumbs down on this one Daily Press.

I don't like because the Craig Daily Press convieniently chose the couple weeks prior to the election to discontinue the readers forum. The one time when people really need the forum to discuss ideas they shut it down. Hows that for free press!

This new format is awful. Will you do something about it or is this on purpose. There is no activity anymore because to manuver the site has become difficult. What say you?
