Now that evil Old Man Winter has returned and May greets us with a blanket of sticky wet snow, I thought it would be a good idea to poll the wisdom of the populace and see if we can use the results avoid one more troublesome issue of the day:

Should DOW

a) Mobilize every flatbed pickup, horse trailer, and California-registered Hummer to quickly dash tons of hay (weed-free, of course) to the hoofed critters of the sagebrush with all haste.

b) Mobilize every firearm available to put the poor critters out of their misery because we all know that a bullet beats hunger pangs any day (even for dumb animals).

c) Somehow do both at the same time because we all know the hallmark of a good government agency is to make life perfect forever.

I vote C.

Oh, I meant to add that this poll will remain open until and be compiled on the first day that Maybell officially hits 95 degrees. That way we can all remember what a great/crappy winter this was.

native-I've never heard of him either. I do seem to remember something about him when they did the academy awards, but since I don't watch them, I didn't pay a lot of attention. I never see the movies that win the awards anyway. My taste in movies is a whole lot different than the experts. I don't even remember the last movie I did see, it's been so long. LOL

Native-I think the last movie I saw at the West was Hidalgo. I was not going to wait for the DVD to come out on that one. Haven't they fixed it up since then?

Cage, if the weather warms up for the Maybell ride, you will probably get lots of posts on here.
I haven't been east for awhile but north south and west are all in bad shape with the dead critters along side the road. it is rather sad to see and I too wish they could get cleaned up so I guess I vote C

Not too worried about the poll, it'll do what it does. Besides, it'll be harder to jerry rig the results than if I had the many thousands of responses that I envisioned.

Nah, don't let the awards scare you off from that flick. Pretty good thriller in anybody's book. The endings a little wierd, but it's a cool flick. I used to live down near that country. They nailed the accent, attitides, and the way folks talk down there.
