Taxslave, I read your comments and I hope to God your over reacting, but I fear that your not.
It is getting way to crazy out there and something, somewhere, sometime has got to give. We've gotten to dependent on other countries and we're not the super power we use to be.
Lord help us all when these other countries get tired of us telling them how to live their lives and decided to come here and give us a good ol' butt kicken.

lol to the comments. I know, it's really ugly out there. I'm with you 50cal, the others scare the hell out of me too. Americans are asleep, over entertained and uninformed. Most of us were uninformed because we were working and what we have of news, well, that tool is owned by the enemy.
I read a bizzaar article today….says Cheney tried a coup against our government yesterday while Bush was “converting” to catholisim with the Pope…which led to Tim Russerts death. The major blackout of DC yesterday was part of this operation. Article says they aren't sure who's in charge of the US gov. today. Read it at whatdoesitmean.com.

We are in serious trouble 50cal, I'm glad you're aware of it. I tell my people to have water, food, etc. for at least a week or two so I won't have to worry about them right away. At least we're next door to the Mormons! (we have the guns), they don't. I knew this was going to happen a year ago, at which time I bought out the ammunition in town. It's doubled in cost since. Some ammo isn't even available anymore because it's all in Iraq. M-16's require lots of bullets.
I ordered food from Saratoga (the mormom dehydrated food company). They told me we don't have to bring guns to get their food, they'd gladly share….they've been stashing for decades.

Ok let me get this straigth …….. Are you saying that the “sky is falling?” Oh know I was afraid of that …… Quick, run for the hills.
I have know doubt that we are all screwed, but it's not going to be a quickie in the afternoon that you guys are talking about. This is the type of screw'n that you see coming from a long ways away (years). Kinda like being put in the same prison cell with a big, red-neck pervo. There will likely be dinner and some hand holding before the whole event and maybe a little small talk, but when the lights finally go out at night you are going to get all the love'n you never wanted. There is nothing any of us can do about it but try to prepare ourselves. Take deep breaths and try and relax and try not to think about it. Sure there are others who could help out and maybe stop it from happening, but they are also too busy worrying about the screw'n there about to take to worry about yours. And the warden, the guy calling all the shots, sits in a big fancy leather chair and can't see it from his house. There's no conspiracy, no us or them, just sweet prison love that you can't avoid.

CindyLou, I agree with you for the most part. I said after 9/11 that I refuse to live my life in fear. And I do take a deep breath and let it out slowly and tell myself that it's all going to be ok sooner or later, but I think the time is coming when we need to start thinking about where our future is going. Maybe not to the extent that Taxslave talks about, but it is changing for us all and maybe we need to prepare a little bit here and there for it. I'm not going to lay in supplies that will last me three years. Nor will I buy every gun and bullet I can get my hands on, but I can't help but wonder where things are going.

Yo…..I plan to sell the ammo not use it. Many items will be worth lots of money in the near future. Guns, ammo, gold & silver coins, food. My personal favorite, TP, it's already doubled in cost……All of these items are already up plenty.
It is to your own advantage to stock yourself for at least a week or so. Look at Iowa, under water, no National Guard or Red Cross to help them. It was announced last night their water supply is at risk. If you check the homeland security website and the red cross, you'll find a list of things to prepare for yourself. They suggest a 2 week supply of food and water per person,……….so there. It's not just me, ok. Along with radio, medications, cash, etc.
Take care of yourselves. The government sure isn't going to do it.

taxslave, did you see where Montana had in their contract with the united states when becoming a state that if the united states ever did anything to restrict the rights of individuals to keep and bear arms it would void the contract? Man I wish I had property up there. have to see how it goes, supreme court decides today. Hope they pull their heads out first and get a fresh breath of air before deciding.

I don't normally let people know to much about what I might or might not have. Denver? well denver is where they are going to have the democrat convention right? they will probably start the “peoples” revolution from there. Monday maybe on the decision from the “supreme court”.

All business will be required to report all credit card sales to the federal goverment….especially targeted at sites like ebay. I haven't used a credit card since Sept. I emptied my bank account at that same time.
Right now the House is voting on the FISA bill and they are giving immunity to AT&T…which the Bush Co. owns half the stock.

taxslave and 50cal,
You guys have really good points at time and i am always interested in what you have to say, but then you go and make some stupid comment about how the president own half of a 100 billion dollar corporation or that Monatan somehow has a legal right to get out of the union. Not even Texas who voluntarily joined as a free nation has a right to suseed from the U.S.(even though they claim they do). Keep posting the legitimate info and stay away from the science fiction and you'll get more people to listen.

cindy look it up montana does indeed have a clause allowing that if the united states weakens the constitution then it breaks the contract that montana and the united states made when montana became a state. THAT is not science fiction sweetheart its a fact. As for tax well you'll notice that hes been absent for the last couple of days? well he just got back from a rafting trip with Pat Germond and hasn't recovered yet. At&T you can go look up their stock holdings and it doesn't show the big bad Bushs hold half the company. TAX if you need I have the smelling salts ready.

Doesn't matter if Montana has an entire section that talks about a right to leave the union. It was a United States territory before it became a state. The only way that Montana could strike out on its own is if the whole country disolved and even then it would likely confederate with Idaho and Washington since it is land locked and would have to rely heavily on imports of food so the people didn't starve. My cousin lives in Montana and he said there are more Californians in Montana then there are Montanians. They spent 100 years screwing up California now they are screwing up Montana. Texas is sappose to have a document that says they have the right to vacate the US since they were the only independent nation to become a state (not a U.S. territory at any time). They tried it in 1861 and Lincoln and the federalist sent 280,000 boys in blue to the happy hunting grounds in the civil war and Texas was never allowed to become their own nation after the war (you would think if anyone of the Southern states has a right they do, but it wasn't allowed). Oh by the way, there's a Montana state law still on the books says it's illegal for unmarried women to fish alone and married women to fish alone on Sundays. It's also illegal in Montana to shoot seven or more Indians in a group because it is considered a war party (boy talk about violating a person's constitutional rights!)
The next question would be “is our constitution in jeopardy?” Believe it or not, our constitution is going to be our own downfall. We have way too many individual freedoms as it is. For example, under the constitution, we have to many rights to sue people. The terrorists at Gitmo are now sueing the US for violating their freedoms. They blew up people, killed people, terrorized people, but because we locked them up and haven't pampered them, they are going to sue us and win millions of dollars. And the cool part is that our own constitution and the modern interpretation there of says they not only have the right, but will likely win. Our constitution is going to give us just enough rope to hand our selves.

I will agree about californians, I think there are too many all together. The one part about montana that may be differnt (and Idaho) is that there are ALOT of seperatists up there to try something when it all comes down to it. I don't think our constitution will be our down fall but I do believe that the way activist judges interperate it will be. If you like him I urge you to go to Glenn Becks web page and on it you will find writings from the founding fathers about the consitution . Then Glenn compares these writings to the writings of the two twits we've got running for president now. Scarry how the constitutuion has been bent and reshaped its a shame as well. if you want me to get serious for awhile I will OK?

beware - Sen. Dodd's Housing Bill, 630 pages. Buried in the bill, “All businesses must report all credit card sales to the federal government.
beware - fisa bill, besides the fact that immunity was given, buried in the bill, “It is illegal to criticize the president of the united states.
Supreme Court is over a week late in their 2nd amendment ruling…..unmarked black helicopters terrorizing people in Denver…….I have a bad feeling.

tax is write its the erosion of our freedoms thats the problem. did you know cindy that in 1943 there was a supreme court ruling that specifically took away the rights of terrorists and enemy combatants during a time of war? now you have five activist judges on the bench who will give more power to the government while taking it away from us. idon't care what people say about congress. they didn't forget they were sent there by us to represnt us, they don't care about us. the only thing they care about anymore is having the power and not losing it.

I think I understand Cindy's comment about us having to many freedoms. It's not that we've got to many, it's that people have found ways to twist those freedoms around so they are now biting us in the butt. Besides the mess at GITMO, we've got a perfect example of it in our own back yard with all the illegals and the way they are screwing the system.
Sometime ago I heard on a radio talk show about how in Lincoln's time or there about, they decided to make you a citizen if you were born in the United States. They did that because of all the slaves that were brought here and then couldn't leave and had children. It wasn't their fault that they were here and having families, so the government decided to help them out when we did away with slavery. Now it is our worst nightmare because the neighbors to the south have taken that to heart. If we can get rid of our old laws in towns and states, why can't we change our out dated national laws…………..oh wait, we are and it's biting us in the butt!!!

Grandmas, truckers, people opening checking accounts, they never flew any planes that I heard of. sorry if profiling isn't polically correct but if it quacks like a duck? The government has used every excuse to grab our freedoms that they can. homeland security? what a joke how with open borders?
